Automatic LED stand for glasses
Everybody has usualsupplies (cupholders)for cups, glasses, mugs, etc., in this article you will learn how to do it with your own hands.Automatic glass stand for glasses, which starts shining as soon as a glass is placed on it. It’s easy, fast and inexpensive to make such a supply with glasses with your own hands, but it looks very interesting and unusual, and you can hardly find something like that among friends (acquaintances), you can pleasantly surprise them, I’m happy for supplying glasses for a romantic date or I can be alone of a particular cafe, bar or restaurant. The principle of operation as a "pressure sensor" (only easier) - put the glass stand lighted, removed - turned off.
Materials and tools:
- 2 acrylic sheets (plexiglass) 0.1-0.2 cm thick
- 4 3mm LEDs (any color);
- 2 3V batteries;
- soldering iron, solder
- insulation foam with tape
- pencil, ruler, scissors;
- stationery (better building) knife or knife for acrylic;
- hot glue gun.
Take a sheet of acrylic, measure and draw on it 2 squares 9x9 cm. Take a ruler (better metal) and a knife, tightly pressing the ruler to an sheet of acrylic, starting from the edge, hold, pressing, several times with a knife along the cut line to easily desired the piece broke off easily.
Tip:it is better to first cut off a 9 cm wide rectangle from an acrylic sheet, and then cut it into 9x9 cm squares. Do not try to break the "square" off the sheet too early, you can just split it, it is better to carefully cut the sheet of acrylic (especially if you use a clerical (construction) knife for cutting). Optimal cut special. cutter or dremel.
After both squares have been cut, we’ll process the edges of the squares with fine sandpaper to remove the bumps and make the edge smooth.
Take the insulation tape and cut the necessary amount with scissors to form a square around the edges of one of the acrylic squares; remove the protective film from the insulation tape and glue it to the same acrylic square (see picture).
Let's start highlighting the stand for glasses. Take 4 LEDs and 2 batteries - for 1 battery with 2 LEDs each. &Nbsp;
Take 2 LEDs and solder the “-” LED wiring (meek wiring at the LED), take the battery and solder the soldered wiring to the “-” side of the battery. Let us turn the battery over and solder the “+” LED wiring together, but do not solder them to the battery, they will be at some distance from the “+” side of the battery. Repeat the same with the other 2 LEDs and the battery.
Install batteries with LEDs on an acrylic square with electrical tape.
Take an acrylic square with electrical tape and, using a hot glue gun, glue the batteries with LEDs in the middle of the square (see picture) "-" with the battery side down. In the process of gluing, using glue, adjust the height at which the batteries are located, the batteries must be flush with electrical tape so that when pressing the top acrylic sheet, the circuit is closed and the LEDs light up.
Glue the top acrylic square.
First, check whether everything works correctly, put the top acrylic square in place and press it down slightly, if the LEDs light up, you can glue it, if not, adjust the height of the battery.
Apply glue, using a hot glue gun, onto the insulating tape and glue the top acrylic square. Pour a glass and put it on the stand - everything should work.
