First, you need to cook sugar syrup: 1.5 cups of cherry juice or water and a half kilograms of sugar.

Purified cherries are poured with sugar syrup and do not touch for 2 hours. Then jam is cooked, stirring constantly. Willingness is determined as follows: drip jam on the nail, if it does not spread - ready. The old way is to put a little jam in a glass of cold water — readiness is determined by air bubbles rising upwards.

Cherry jam with pits

Tasty jam is obtained from the berries with bones. Berries are washed, pierced in several places. Then placed in boiling water for 1.5 minutes and recline in a colander.

The proportions are as follows: 1.5 cups of water, 1 kilogram of cherries and 1.2 kilograms of sugar.

The cooking procedure is simple:

  1. Cook the syrup out of water and half the sugar.
  2. Then pour syrup over the cherry and leave for 4 hours.
  3. Then add the remaining sugar and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Cherry jam is ready!
