How To Make Cheap Wine Taste SO Much Better in Seconds
Cheap wine is better for your wallet, but you may have to sacrifice some taste. And everyone knows a bad-tasting glass of wine is just unacceptable.
Thankfully, a quick trick will boost the flavor in no time, and all you need is a kitchen blender.
As demonstrated in a clip from Slate's The Shortcut video series, all you have to do is pour a bottle of wine into a blender. Mix it for about 20 to 30 seconds, letting it aerate. This process allows the wine's tannins to soften, making it taste less dry. Note: Aeration will make younger reds (like Cabernet Sauvignon) taste better since tannins are found more in red wine than in white.
Once you finish blending it, give it a few seconds to settle then serve.
