In the modern world there are a lot of terms, the meaning of which is often quite difficult to understand. However, they can be used in various spheres of life of any person. One of these borrowed terms is the word "implantation". Basically, it is used in medicine, genetics and other areas related to the treatment, alteration or diagnosis of the state of the human body.

What is implantation and where is the term used?

Implantation is a surgical operation that is performed to implant (implant) into the human or animal body artificial / biological tissues, organs, devices, etc.

The term implantation is used:

  • In the dentists. Dental prostheses are used as implants (objects inserted into the human body), which are implanted into the jaw with the help of special methods. Unlike conventional prostheses, they are fixed and allow you to fully restore the appearance of real teeth.
  • With artificial insemination.An embryo is implanted (placed) in the maternal organism, which subsequently attaches to the wall of the uterus and then develops in the natural environment.
  • In plastic surgery. This term applies to the introduction of various objects (implants) into the human body, allowing to normalize or improve the appearance, as well as restore the impaired function of certain organs.
  • It is worth noting that this definition can now be used with respect to the field of information technology, since recently the introduction of subcutaneous chips to control smart home systems has been actively developed.
